Morning: 27 Charcos Damajagua

Most combo tours do the 7 or 12 waterfall route, not the full 27, to keep time manageable. You still get the highlight slides and jumps. See our complete guide for details on each route.

Afternoon: Monkey Jungle

A 7-zipline course runs through the forest canopy with 2 rest platforms and an observation deck. After the zipline, walk to the squirrel monkey sanctuary where the monkeys land on your arms and feed from your hand. Proceeds fund a medical clinic for local Dominicans.

Who should book this combo

  • Guests on tight schedules (cruise, 2-3 day trips)
  • Active travelers who want maximum adventure per day
  • Travelers combining nature with impact tourism
  • Groups of friends who want a shared big day

Who should skip it

Families with young kids, guests with any back or knee issue, or travelers who prefer a relaxed pace. Split across 2 days, or pick just one. The canyon alone is exhausting.

Frequently asked questions

Monkey Jungle is a non-profit squirrel monkey sanctuary and zipline park in Imbert, 5 minutes from Damajagua. It houses rescued squirrel monkeys that you can feed from your hand. Proceeds fund a free medical clinic for local Dominican families.

9 to 10 hours total. Pickup 7:30-8:00 AM, Damajagua 9 AM to 12:30 PM, lunch, Monkey Jungle 2:00-4:30 PM, hotel drop by 5:30 PM. Intense but well-organized day.

Worth it if you are short on time. You save on transport by doing both in one day (they are 5 minutes apart). Downside: the afternoon zipline is less fun when your arms are tired from the canyon. Splitting them over 2 days gives a better experience.
